Create your first product with AI QuickList

Overview

Use AI QuickList in the Ribbn app to create your first product fast. This is the recommended workflow for most day-to-day product intake, especially for one-of-a-kind resale items you want to list quickly for in-store and online sales.

This guide takes you from zero to a saved product using the fastest path:

1. Open the app
2. Start AI QuickList
3. Take guided photos
4. Review the AI-generated details
5. Save the product

Before you start

Make sure you have:

• The Ribbn mobile app installed
• Access to the same email used for your Ribbn account
• The item with you so you can photograph it
• Good lighting for clear product photos

Create your first product with AI QuickList

1. Download and open the app

Install the Ribbn app on your phone.

You can:

• Scan your store’s Ribbn QR code, or
• Search for Ribbn in your app store

2. Log in

Sign in with the same email used to set up your Ribbn account.

Ribbn sends a one-time passcode to your inbox, so you do not need to remember a password.

3. Start a new product

In the app:

1. Tap Inventory in the bottom navigation
2. Tap the + T-shirt icon in the top left
3. Select AI QuickList

This opens the fastest recommended product creation workflow.

Add the guided photos

AI QuickList walks you through the key photos needed to build a product record.

Photo checklist

Front photo

Take a clear image of the front of the item, then tap Next.

Tips:

• Lay the item flat or hang it neatly
• Keep the full item in frame
• Avoid shadows and cluttered backgrounds

Brand tag

Photograph the brand tag or logo.

If the item does not have a visible brand tag:

• Tap the info box
• Enter the brand manually

Size tag

Take a photo of the size label.

If the size tag is missing:

• Enter the size manually

If the item does not use standard sizing:

• Use One Size

Material tag

Take a picture of the material/composition label.

If there is no material tag:

• Skip this step

Enter the core product details

After the photos, add the essential details Ribbn needs to generate the product.

Seller

With AI QuickList, Ribbn assumes your store is the seller.

This is why AI QuickList is best for:

• Store-owned inventory
• Fast intake of standard day-to-day items
• One-of-a-kind products you are adding directly into stock

If the item belongs to another seller and you need to assign ownership manually, use Regular Mode instead.

Primary segment

Choose the appropriate primary segment/category from your product taxonomy.

Examples might include:

• Woman
• Clothing
• Jeans
• Wide leg

Choose the option that best matches the item so it is easier to sort, search, and merchandise later.

Condition

Select the item’s condition.

Use this to set clear expectations for staff and shoppers, especially for resale items where wear, flaws, or overall condition affects pricing and saleability.

Generate the product with AI

When your photos and core details are ready:

1. Tap Generate with AI
2. Wait while Ribbn builds the product draft

Ribbn uses the photos and details you entered to create the initial product record.

Review and edit before saving

Do not skip the review step. AI QuickList is the fastest workflow, but you should still confirm the product details before saving.

Check the following:

• Images are clear and in the right order
• Brand is correct
• Category/type matches the item
• Size is correct
• Material is correct if available
• Condition is correct
• Seller/store ownership is correct for this workflow

Recommended edits after AI generation

Depending on the item, you may want to confirm or update:

Product categorization

Review the item’s taxonomy details, such as:

• Primary Segment
• Category
• Type
• Style
• Brand
• Color
• Material

Good categorization helps staff find and sort products more easily and improves online filtering.

Size and measurements

If needed, review:

• Measurement Category
• Label Size
• Standard Size
• Fit Remark
• Detailed Measurements

For example:

• Use the garment tag value for Label Size
• Convert it to your standard format for Standard Size
• Add notes like Runs small or Oversized when helpful

Condition notes

For resale and re-commerce items, add extra detail if needed:

• Condition
• Condition Remarks
• Product Remarks
• Care Instructions

This is useful when the item has flaws, wear, or care details staff and buyers should know about.

Stock and status

Before saving or shortly after, make sure the item is set up for your store’s operational workflow.

Common fields to review include:

• Status
• Product Class
• Inventory Location
• Tags

For most resale items:

• Set the product as one-of-a-kind/unique
• Choose the correct inventory location
• Apply the right status for your intake or selling workflow

Save the product

Once everything looks correct, save the product.

You now have a product record in Ribbn that can support:

• Store inventory tracking
• Product search and filtering
• Day-to-day stock handling
• Omnichannel selling across in-store and online channels

When to use Regular Mode instead

Choose Regular Mode instead of AI QuickList when:

• The product belongs to another seller
• You need to assign seller ownership manually
• You want more manual control during product setup
• The item does not fit the quick guided flow

AI QuickList is the fastest option, but Regular Mode is better when attribution or setup needs more control from the start.
