Publish items online

Use Ribbn’s bulk actions to put products on your webshop quickly. You can either:

Publish now so customers can buy items online right away
Show items online without allowing purchase yet for launches, drops, or in-store events

This is especially helpful when you are working with:

large assortments
resale or re-commerce inventory
one-of-a-kind items
new items created with AI QuickList
event-based inventory that needs different in-store and online handling

Note

For one-of-a-kind items, choose the visibility option carefully. If an item is on the sales floor or reserved for an event, showing it online without making it shoppable can help reduce double-selling risk.

Before you start

Make sure the products you want to update are easy to find in Products > All Products. You may want to filter by:

tag, such as spring drop or just in
recent product batches
status
collection
items created for a specific launch or event

If you use AI QuickList to create products, confirm those items are fully reviewed before publishing them online.

Bulk-publish items for online purchase

Use this workflow when items should be available for customers to buy now.

Steps

Go to Products > All Products.
Filter the product list to the items you want to publish.
Click Select All at the bottom of the screen.
If your filtered view contains more than 25 items, use the blue prompt in the Action Bar to select all matching items across all pages.
Open Inventory & Availability.
Click Publish Online.
Approve the confirmation pop-up.

What happens next

When you use Publish Online, Ribbn will:

set the items to Listed
add the availableOnline tag
make the items shoppable on your site

Best time to use this option

Choose Publish Online when:

a product drop is ready to sell
a full assortment should go live
AI QuickList-created items have been checked and are ready for customers
one-of-a-kind inventory is cleared for online purchase

Show items online without making them shoppable

Use this workflow when you want customers to see items online, but you are not ready to let them purchase yet.

This is useful for:

upcoming product drops
launch previews
in-store events
temporary online visibility for items that should not be sold online yet

Steps

Go to Products > All Products.
Filter and select the items you want to update.
Open Inventory & Availability > Status Actions > In Inventory.
Choose Available in Store.

What happens next

This setting makes the items:

visible on your webshop
not purchasable yet

Warning

Visible-only items still need the right online setup to appear in the correct collection. If the item setup or collection conditions are missing, the product may not show online as expected.

Collection requirements for visible-only items

For an item to appear online in a visibility-only workflow, check both of these conditions:

the item has the availableOnline tag
the collection includes products with the status Available in Store

Update the collection settings

Open the relevant collection.
Click the Products tab.
Under Add Condition, set Status to include Available in Store.

When you are ready to start selling

When you want visible-only items to become purchasable online, change their status to Listed.

For bulk-ready inventory, the simplest path is usually to use Publish Online.

Reorder published items

Published items are ordered based on when they were most recently updated to Listed. The most recently listed items appear first.

If you want selected published items to appear higher in your online store listing, republish them.

Steps

Go to Products.
Select the product or products.
Click Actions in the bottom-left corner.
Choose Republish Listed Item.

Result

Republishing updates the item’s Listed timestamp, which moves it higher in the online listing order.

Note

This is useful when you want to feature a fresh batch of resale finds, highlight a new drop, or move specific one-of-a-kind items closer to the top of your online assortment.

whether the right products were selected across all pages
whether the item has the availableOnline tag
whether the collection includes Available in Store when using the visibility-only workflow
whether the product is meant to be Listed or only Available in Store
