Export product data
Use this workflow to export product data from Ribbn for reporting, cleanup, or other day-to-day inventory tasks.
Before you start
You can export product data from the Product View as a CSV file. This is useful when you need to:
- review product details in a spreadsheet
- clean up categories or product records
- analyze inventory by merchant or attribution
- prepare labels or external reports
Exports follow the products currently included in your view. Apply filters first so your CSV only includes the items you need.
Export product data
- Open Products.
- In Product View, use Filter to narrow your results.
- Apply any filters you need, such as:
- Date range
- Category
- Merchant
- Click Mark All to select the products currently shown.
- If you want to export every product that matches your filter, click Select all xx products that matches this query.
- Open Actions and select Export CSV.
- In the export window, choose the columns you want to include.
- Download the CSV file.
When to use “Select all”
Use the extra Select all xx products that matches this query option when your filtered results span more products than are currently visible on the page.
| If you want to export... | Do this |
|---|---|
| Only the products currently shown | Click Mark All |
| All products that match your filters | Click Mark All, then click Select all xx products that matches this query |
If you skip the second selection step, your export may include only the products currently displayed, not the full filtered result set.
Common use cases
Operators commonly export product data to:
- generate labels
- review product categories
- analyze products by merchant
- audit inventory records before cleanup
For stores managing one-of-a-kind inventory, exports can also help you review attribution, status, and product details in bulk before making updates.
Tips for cleaner exports
- Filter first to avoid exporting unnecessary products.
- Choose only the columns needed for your task.
- Use exports when reviewing online and in-store product records together.
- If you are checking items created through AI QuickList, confirm the exported fields include the product details you want to review.
Next steps
After exporting, you can:
- sort and review products in a spreadsheet
- identify records that need cleanup
- check category, merchant, or status consistency
- prepare a focused follow-up update in Ribbn
If your export does not include the products you expected, return to Products, confirm your filters, and repeat the selection steps before exporting again.
