Review sell requests
When to use this page
Use this workflow whenever your store has incoming seller items to review in Ribbn. The goal is to make sure every request is reviewed in the right order, sellers get the correct update, and no requests stay stuck.
Accepting or declining an item only updates its status in Ribbn. The seller is notified only after you click Confirm Selection.
Open sell requests
Go to:
- Products
- Sell Request
You’ll see two tabs:
| Tab | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| New | Incoming sell requests that still need review |
| Reviewed | Requests you have already worked on |
Review new sell requests
Use the New tab for your day-to-day review work.
Each request can include details such as:
- item segment
- brand
- size
- suggested resale price
For each item, review the request and choose one of the following:
- Accept
- Decline
If you accept an item, enter the resale price you want to use before moving on.
Recommended review sequence
Follow this order every time:
- Open the seller’s request in New
- Review each item
- Accept or Decline each item
- Add the resale price for every accepted item
- Click Confirm Selection
Do not stop after changing item statuses. If you do not click Confirm Selection, the seller will not receive the review result.
Understand New vs Reviewed
Use the tabs to track where work stands.
New
Items in New still need action. This is your active work queue.
Reviewed
Items in Reviewed have already been processed. Use this tab to double-check completed work and spot anything that may need cleanup.
What Confirm Selection does
After you finish accepting or declining items, click Confirm Selection in the top-right corner.
This is the step that sends the seller their update.
Ribbn sends one review update for the seller’s request rather than separate notifications for each item. After that, the seller can check their app dashboard and see what happened to each item.
Daily checklist to avoid missed requests
Use this quick checklist during store operations:
- Check Products > Sell Request > New
- Review every waiting request
- Price all accepted items
- Click Confirm Selection
- Check that nothing unexpected is left behind
- Keep your sell request review lists at zero whenever possible
Keep sell request lists clean
Good cleanup habits help prevent missed requests and confusion.
Check the Sell Request filter or bookmark
In Products, you may have a saved bookmark or filter for Sell Request or Sell Request Review.
Best practice:
- keep this list empty
- treat any item in this list as needing attention
- make sure it matches what you see in Sell Request > New
If New is empty, your sell request review bookmark should also be empty.
Fix requests stuck in Reviewed
If you see items in the Reviewed tab that still look like they are in a sell request state, sellers may not be able to see the correct result yet.
To fix this:
- Find the seller in Reviewed
- Click the three dots
- Select Mark as New
- Go back to the New tab
- Review the item again
- Accept or Decline
- Click Confirm Selection
Use Mark as New when a request needs to be put back into the correct review flow.
Cleanup steps for lingering sell request items
If products are still sitting in the Sell Request Review list, follow this sequence in order.
1. Set the price
Check whether the product is still showing a suggested price.
If it is:
- review the suggestion
- set the final resale price
2. Message the seller
If the request appears to have been missed in the normal process, contact the seller to explain the update.
Go to:
- Actions
- Message selected vendors
You can use a message like this:
It looks like your product(s) got missing in the Sell Request process. We’re sorry for the oversight. If you’re still interested in selling them, we’ve now reviewed your request and updated the status in the Ribbn app. Review your products in the app and take any necessary actions. Thank you! – The [Your Brand] Team
3. Move the status last
Once pricing and communication are done, update the product status as needed:
- Accepted
- Rejected
Do this step last. If your review list is filtered by status, changing the status may remove the item from the list right away.
Best practices
- Review the New tab regularly throughout the day
- Treat Confirm Selection as a required final step
- Keep sell request review lists at zero whenever possible
- Use Reviewed as a check, not as your main work queue
- Reopen stuck requests with Mark as New
- For one-of-a-kind resale items, make sure accepted products have the right final price before confirming
Troubleshooting
I accepted an item, but the seller says they were not notified
Most likely, Confirm Selection was not clicked.
Go back and confirm the selection so the seller receives the review update.
There are items in Reviewed that still seem unfinished
Use Mark as New, then process the request again from the New tab.
My Sell Request Review list is not empty
That usually means a request still needs attention. Follow the cleanup order:
- set price
- message seller if needed
- move status last
Quick reference
| Task | What to do |
|---|---|
| Review incoming requests | Go to Products > Sell Request > New |
| Accept an item | Accept it and enter the resale price |
| Notify the seller | Click Confirm Selection |
| Reprocess a stuck reviewed request | Use Mark as New |
| Clear lingering review items | Set price → message seller → move status |
