Connect a Stripe Reader

Overview

Ribbn supports integration with both Stripe Bluetooth and Stripe WiFi card readers for in-store payments.

This article belongs in the **Orders & POS** knowledge area and applies to Ribbn Store POS workflows.

Supported Stripe Readers

Ribbn can connect to the following Stripe Terminal reader types:

Connect a Stripe WiFi Reader (example: BBPOS WisePOS E)

Use this method for WiFi Stripe Terminal readers such as BBPOS WisePOS E.

1) Open Stripe Dashboard (from Ribbn)

  1. In your Ribbn account, go to: Settings → Payments → Go to Stripe Account
  2. In Stripe, navigate to Terminal.

2) Create a Location (in Stripe)

  1. Click Create Location.
  2. Enter the relevant details.
  3. Make sure the location matches the physical store where the reader will be used (example: “MyShop Location”).

3) Register the Reader

  1. After creating the location, find it in the Locations list.
  2. Click the three dots next to the location.
  3. Select Register Reader.

4) Complete reader setup with the registration code

  1. Follow the Stripe prompts to register the reader.
  2. During setup, a registration code appears on the terminal.
  3. Enter the code into the Registration Code field in Stripe.

Once completed, your Stripe Terminal is connected.


Connect a Stripe Bluetooth Reader (example: WisePad 3)

Use this method for Bluetooth readers such as WisePad 3.

  • Your Stripe Bluetooth reader will sync automatically when you log in to the Ribbn App.

Device Syncing Restriction (Important)

Due to **Skatteverket regulations**, only **one device** can be synced with the Stripe terminal **at any given time**.
