Bulk Edit Products
Overview
The Bulk Edit tool lets you efficiently update multiple products at once—for example, to update statuses, add/remove tags, adjust pricing, and more.
When to use Bulk Edit
Use Bulk Edit when you need to:
- Apply the same change across many products (status, tags, price, commission, etc.)
- Prepare or reset groups of items for Sale/Clearance
- Send a message to the vendors/sellers related to selected items
- Export, duplicate, delete, or update inventory locations in bulk
Bulk edit workflow (step-by-step)
1) Go to Product View
Navigate to the main products list (Product View).
2) Filter the products you want to edit
Use filters to narrow the list to the set of products you intend to change.
3) Select the products
You can either:
- Manually select individual products, or
- Click Select All
Important selection behavior
- Select All only marks the 25 products visible on the current page.
- To select more than 25 products, click the blue text near the bottom (next to Actions) that says: Select all XX products that match query.
4) Double-check the number of selected items
Confirm the selection count shown as “XX Items selected” before making changes.
Editing options after selection
Once products are selected, you’ll use either the Edit Products button or the Actions button.
Choose the right control
- Edit Products: structured field updates (brand, taxonomy, price, status, etc.)
- Actions: operational actions (tags, publish/republish, messaging, export, delete, etc.)

Use Edit Products for bulk field edits like the following:

Taxonomy examples
Taxonomy values may include:
- Primary Segment (e.g., Man/Women)
- Product Category (e.g., Clothes/Shoes/Accessories)
- Product type (e.g., Outerwear, Bottoms)
- Product Style (e.g., Blazer, Cargo Pants)

Use Actions for bulk operations like the following:

Send a bulk message to sellers (using Bulk Edit)
Purpose
When unexpected delays happen (or something has occurred), it’s important to keep sellers informed. A simple, kind note helps maintain trust and transparency. Ribbn’s built-in messaging tools let you send a bulk message to the sellers associated with selected items.
Step-by-step
Step 1: Navigate to the Products Dashboard
- Go to your Products dashboard.
- Navigate to Products > All Products.
- This view shows your full catalog, including items that have been sold.
Step 2: Filter to target the right sellers (example: Sold Date)
To target sellers associated with items sold within a certain period:
- Click the Filter button.
- Choose Sold Date.
- Select the time range you want to communicate about (e.g., past week, past month, or a custom date range).
Step 3: Select all relevant items
- Use the Select All checkbox to mark all items shown in the filtered view.
If you need more than the first page of items:
- Click Select all XX products that match query.
Step 4: Send a Bulk Message
- Click Bulk Edit.
- Choose Message Sellers of selected Items.
- Write a kind and informative note explaining the delay.
Reuse option (template)
- The message can be saved as a template to reuse later.
