When unexpected delays happen (or something else has occurred), it’s important to keep sellers informed. A simple, kind note helps maintain trust and transparency. This guide walks you through using Ribbn’s built-in messaging tools to send a bulk message to sellers associated with specific sold items.

Bulk messaging is sent to **sellers of the selected items**. The key to messaging the right sellers is choosing the right **filters** before you select items and send.

When to use bulk messaging

Use Message Sellers in Bulk when you need to notify many sellers at once about something time-sensitive, such as:

  • Shipping or processing delays
  • Warehouse or operational disruptions
  • Policy or workflow updates that affect recent sales
  • Corrections to previously shared timelines

Step-by-step: Send a bulk message to sellers

Step 1: Navigate to the Products dashboard

  1. Go to your Products dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Products > All Products.
  3. Review your full catalog view (this includes items that have been sold).

Step 2: Filter to select the right sellers (e.g., Sold Date)

To message sellers associated with items sold within a certain time period:

  1. Click Filter.
  2. Choose Sold Date.
  3. Select the time range you want to communicate about:
    • Past week
    • Past month
    • Custom date range

This filtering step isolates only items sold during your chosen timeframe, which in turn targets the relevant sellers.

You can use **any filter needed** to select the right sellers—Sold Date is the most common for delay-related updates.

Step 3: Select all relevant items

After filtering:

  • Use the Select All checkbox to mark all items shown in the filtered view.

Step 4: Send a bulk message

With the relevant products selected:

  1. Click Bulk Edit.
  2. Choose Message Sellers of selected Items.
  3. In the message window, write a kind and informative note explaining the delay.

Reuse option (template)

  • You can save the message as a template if you want to reuse it later.
Before sending, double-check your filters and selection to ensure you’re messaging only the intended sellers.

A strong bulk message is:

  • Kind: acknowledges impact and thanks sellers for patience
  • Clear: states what happened and what’s being done
  • Specific: includes realistic next steps or timing (if available)
  • Short: easy to scan, especially on mobile
