Overview

Use this hub page to understand how returns and refunds work when your store is using Stripe as the payment provider connected to Ribbn. It also links the key places in Ribbn where you manage your Stripe connection and jump into Stripe to complete refund actions.

This guidance applies to payments processed through **Stripe connected to Ribbn**. Refunds are not processed inside Ribbn—refunds must be handled directly in Stripe.

Before you process refunds: Confirm Stripe is connected

If you don’t see Stripe connected, complete the activation flow first (refunds require a working Stripe account).

Step-by-step: Activate Stripe in Ribbn

  1. Access the Ribbn admin dashboard

    • Log in to your Ribbn account.
    • Open the admin dashboard.
  2. Go to Payments in Settings

    • Navigate to Settings > Payments.

  3. Start the Stripe activation flow

    • Click Activate Stripe to begin setup.

Stripe setup details (what gets configured)

When you select Activate Stripe, Ribbn sends you to Stripe’s setup flow. Expect to configure:

  • Business and personal details
  • Currency you want to accept payments in
    • Example: choose Swedish SEK if your business is in Sweden.
  • Payment options you want to offer customers, such as:
    • Klarna (including Swish)
    • American Express
    • Credit/debit cards
  • Bank account connection for Stripe payouts

Completion: When you’re ready to take payments

Once setup is complete:

  • Your Stripe integration becomes active
  • You’re ready to accept payments

Process refunds (required): Do it in Stripe
